This is my transcription and analysis of the beautiful solo by Red Garland on What is this Thing Called Love, from A Garland In Red (Prestige).
It is a very hard swingin' be-bop informative solo played by Garland, with many insights on transforming a simple melody with no swing into a swinging machine!
Garland also makes an extensive and state of the art use the enclosures technique.
Complete transcription in pdf in Bb, Eb and C are available on my website:https://mirkoguerrini.com/transcripti...
